Student Health Services
The Student Health Services Department is situated in the new building at the basement. Two professional nurses service the health clinic. A part time medical doctor visits the health clinic daily, between 08H00-10H00.

The health clinic provides the following services: treatment for minor ailments, first aid treatment, referral to hospital and doctor, STI treatment & counselling, family planning, emergency care & first aid treatment, HIV blood testing & VCT (quick), Pap smear and pregnancy test. Transport and other assistance are provided for seriously ill clients.

After hours protection services provide first aid care and transport clients to the nearest hospitals. In cases of emergency, protection services and the health clinic should be notified. Health care services are provided for free except for specific specialised investigations.

Open times are as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 08h00 - 15h00
Fridays: 08h00 - 12h00
